Through weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly coaching sessions, a Parenting Coordinator (PC) offers guidance, resources, and strategies to help struggling co-parents manage their disputes outside of the courtroom. This method reduces litigation costs and helps to minimize the impact of parent conflict on children. A PC can monitor or tweak a parenting plan to address differing interpretations, facilitate smoother transitions, and limit opportunities for future problems in areas such as vacation and holiday planning, religious observance, school choice, afterschool activities, and new partners.
